Network Technician
This Accelerated Network+ Alumni course will run for 10 weeks. Throughout this course, learners will continue to sharpen their technical skills through activities simulating real world security scenarios, performing networking research, and class discussions of current events.

Throughout this course, learners will continue to sharpen their technical skills through activities simulating real world security scenarios, performing networking research, and class discussions of current events. Topics include but are not limited to design, implement, manage, maintain, secure and troubleshoot local area networks (LAN) and wireless networks. Learners will take several practice assessments and will work in groups to understand and explore CompTIA question styles and test taking strategies.
What you’ll learn:
- Design and implement small to medium-sized networks, integrating various networking concepts and applying fundamental principles.
- Analyze network performance, security threats, and common issues in switched networks and IPv4 addressing, proposing appropriate solutions based on best practices.
- Evaluate and troubleshoot network configurations, including LAN, WAN, and VPN setups, using industry-standard protocols and terminologies.
- Differentiate between various network components, devices, and their characteristics, including threat defense technologies and security landscapes.
- Synthesize knowledge of networking concepts to resolve complex network problems and suggest performance improvements.
