IT Support CompTIA A+ (1102)- UCI 3038
Learners who were not able to pass the 1102 portion of the A+ Core Series certification are eligible and encouraged to complete this course.

This 8-week course provides learners with hands-on experience with various operating systems, network, and IT security methodologies. Learners will perform troubleshooting exercises with PCs, networking equipment, system administration, cloud technologies, and IT security concepts. The course focuses on building a solid foundation in software systems, IT networking, and applying security concepts, allowing learners to diagnose and resolve technical and security issues confidently. As part of the course, learners will prepare and test for the CompTIA A+ 1102 certification exam.
What you’ll learn:
- Configure modern and legacy PC hardware components (motherboards, CPUs, RAM, storage, power supplies, and cooling systems) to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot networking hardware, cable types, and services while configuring both wired and wireless connections effectively.
- Maintain mobile devices and printer hardware, including app configuration, consumables replacement, and common troubleshooting techniques.
- Utilize generative AI tools and workflows in IT support processes, evaluating their capabilities, limitations, and ethical considerations.
- Explore cutting-edge AI technologies within the technology domain to enhance outcomes.
- Prepare for the CompTIA A+ Core 1 (1102) certification exam through targeted review, practice, and mastery of course concepts.
