This course equips you with the knowledge, skills, and experience you need to start a career in the UX design field. Throughout this course, you will navigate the design process, from user research to wireframing and prototyping, and learn about the two types of UX design projects. You will discover and apply essential skills, such as information architecture and user personas, that are critical for making informed design decisions. Furthermore, you will have opportunities to practice implementing the user-centered, visual, and interaction design principles to create exceptional user experiences.

Learning outcomes:

After completing this course, you should be able to:

  • Analyze and evaluate the UX design of an existing digital product
  • Redesign the UX of an existing digital product to conclude findings and recommendations in a UX report
  • Apply the concepts of user-centered design and story-based design during the discovery and plan phases of a new design project
  • Apply the strategies for information architecture (IA), wireframing, and
    prototyping to design a new digital product
  • Apply the principles of responsive design, strategies for gesture-based
    interactions, and principles of accessibility to enhance the user
    experience
  • Determine the visual design principles to improve aesthetics and design recommendations to address usability issue
